At MLK Community Healthcare, our partnerships with Health Plans, Independent Physician Associations, and leading medical centers enable us to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care to our diverse South Los Angeles community.
Outstanding outcomes for your patients
Direct Health Plan Partnerships
In addition to our IPA collaborations, MLKCH partners directly with select health plans to provide comprehensive care to assigned patients. These partnerships ensure seamless access to quality healthcare services without the need for IPA involvement. Our direct health plan partners include:
Our IPA Partners
We have partnerships with leading IPAs in Southern California. Together, we serve over XX patients, offering access to exceptional medical services and innovative programs tailored to meet our community’s needs.
ACO Partnerships
MLKCH collaborates with Caravan Health through CVS Accountable Care to deliver a value-based population health approach.
Benefits of ACOs
- Coordinated care focused on patient needs
- Seamless communication among providers to reduce duplication and medical errors
- Savings in time, money, and resources
- Enhanced protection against Medicare fraud and waste
This partnership exemplifies our commitment to adopting best practices for improved care coordination and patient outcomes.
Strategic health partners
MLKCH partners with leading medical centers across Southern California to ensure optimal care for our patients. Our partners include:
UCLA Health
UCLA Health is a founding partner with MLK Community Healthcare, providing services and physician resources for radiology, anesthesiology and urology. MLKCH internal medicine residents train at UCLA facilities, while David Geffen School of Medicine students complete a four-week Primary Care/Family Medicine rotation at MLKCH Outpatient Care Centers.
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a vital partner to MLKCH, offering advanced care for complex patients and supporting our prenatal program, as well as our integrated behavioral health services. MLKCH residents train at Cedars-Sinai, including a four-week Hematology-Oncology rotation, while Cedars-Sinai residents rotate at our main hospital and outpatient offices.
University of Southern California
In 2022, MLKCH launched its Street Medicine initiative in partnership with USC’s Keck School of Medicine, delivering medical care to unhoused individuals across South L.A. Intensive USC-led training equips our multidisciplinary team with tools to address homelessness and reach those with the greatest needs. Additionally, students in USC’s Primary Care Program train at MLKCH Outpatient Care Centers, and pharmacy residents from USC’s Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy complete rotations within our health system.
MemorialCare Millers Children’s and Women’s Hospital
We are proud to partner with Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital in Long Beach, which provides our smallest patients with Higher Level of Care (HLOC) pediatric support, including NICU services.
