Dr. Danny Dan, Obstetrics and Gynecology is the Medical Director of Maternal Child Health at MLK Community Healthcare. Dan directs prenatal services at MLKCH's outpatient care centers, as well as labor and delivery maternity care in our CMS 5- star rated hospital.

Dan has more than a decade of experience in both private practice and hospital-based obstetrics, most recently as Medical Director at Fountain Valley Hospital.

Dan’s received his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California (USC), his MD at St George's Medical School and completed his residency in obstetrics at Staten Island University Hospital.

In collaboration with MLKCH midwives, Dan champions MLKCH’s innovative collaborative practice model, in which patients are paired with both a registered nurse midwife as well as (when needed) an experienced OBGYN. The midwife-led, doctor-supported MLKCH model has won awards and garnered national attention for its excellent outcomes, particularly for women of color.

Dan is board-certified and an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists quality review committees and credentialing committee.

Outside of his professional life, he enjoys building LEGO sets with his sons and exploring new restaurants with his wife.
