MLKCH mobile health van at three locations in vulnerable community
What: Residents of South LA can now get free flu shots at three locations in South Los Angeles, a community at high risk of a “twin-demic” of COVID-19 and the flu.
Why: Flu can complicate symptoms of COVID-19. South LA already has a high burden of disease which makes residents more vulnerable to COVID-19. A flu shot will help reduce the risk of severe illness in the event of a COVID infection.
