"Each one of these seasoned professionals brings extraordinary talent and expertise to our board of directors," says Dyan Sublett, president of the MLK Community Health Foundation. "Their work is local but they have a national scope. We're thrilled to have their knowledge and commitment supporting health in the South Los Angeles community."
John E. Kobara, executive vice president and chief operating officer of the California Community Foundation, has 35 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including leading innovative nonprofit organizations and technology startups. John is a nationally sought speaker in the philanthropy sector, particularly on subjects connecting community, equity, and social justice.
Retired from his role as president and CEO for the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, Larry M. Rosen continues to serve as a trainer, speaker, and consultant for YMCAs and other nonprofit organizations in the US and Canada. During his leadership, Larry championed the development and support of Ys in underserved communities throughout the Los Angeles area, and became a passionate voice globally for introducing and sustaining Y programming in the most vulnerable communities around the world.
As founder and president of Classic Lake Consulting and Investments, Kyle Walton brings more than a decade of experience in community and economic development finance, along with a professional and personal focus on underserved communities, to the foundation board. He founded his firm with a mission to generate positive economic and environmental impacts for the communities he serves. His work with the foundation adds health to that mission.
